How to choose the right hat for your face shape
I was never really a big hat person because I always thought hats looked funny on me.. But when I started wearing the right hats for my face shape it completely changed and now I love wearing them.
Down below you can find a list of 3 different hats for each face shape. We hope you keep this in mind next time you go do hat shopping.
ROUND FACE SHAPE
To elongate the face, choose hats that feature a rising crown and brims that are uplifted or asymmetrical. Accessories should also add length, such as feathers.
DIAMOND FACE SHAPE
Opt for full hats with large brims.
SQUARE FACE SHAPE
The aim is to lengthen and soften the face. Choose hats with an asymmetrical brim and large crown to emphasize the top of your head and narrow your face. Wear hats at an angle to soften your face. Bucket hats look great on you.
RECTANGLE FACE SHAPE
Choose hats with upturned or a full brim. The hat should have a small crown and feature fullness around the face.
OVAL FACE SHAPE
You are one lucky girl, most hats work for you. Just make sure that you don’t go to big as it can swamp a small frame.
OBLONG FACE SHAPE
Opt for hats with an upturned or full brim.
TRIANGLE FACE SHAPE
Choose hats with short, asymmetrical brims and high crowns to make your eyes the focal point. To balance your jawline, hats should sit towards the back of the head and broaden at the temple area.
INVERTED TRIANGLE FACE SHAPE
Choose hats with asymmetrical brim and full, high crowns. Wear your hats at an angle to diminish your forehead.
